Central to Sasa’s environmental work is the continuous monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of key environmental factors, including water and air quality, soil health, biodiversity, hazardous material handling, waste management and recycling, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and energy efficiency. The company conducts frequent internal audits to ensure robust environmental performance and has established thorough documentation systems. Sasa’s comprehensive environmental management systems (EMS) adhere to ISO14001:2015 standards, as confirmed by a 2023 audit.

Sasa's leadership and commitment to these systems are evident in its management practices and actions. The company also implements the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Equator Principles where possible. Additionally, effective emergency response plans are in place to address potential environmental incidents.​
